I set this ROM I did things a little bit differently. I completely uninstalled the previous ROM and used Heimdall to flash this ROM. The Apex website was very concise and easy to use when installing the ROM.
With that out of the way, This ROM as the best launcher I've come across. Everything is on the corners; from the contacts in the lower-left to the music/video/camera on the upper-right. You also get the same touchwiz launcher as well.
If I can, I will use this launcher in future ROMs. Of course I would review their stock as well.
Unfortunately, there were some problems. Just like the other ROMs I've tested, this one doesn't sync with all the apps that I've downloaded from the market. TiBu is great for this but the number one fault is the standard phone program. Every time I use the phone I the program would have to force close and my phone service wouldn't work for a few seconds. I re-flashed just to make sure it was a bad flash but the problem wasn't remedied.
Other than those two problems I had, this ROM is very fast and efficient although, the camera does take a few seconds to load but seeing as that's the norm.
I would recommend this ROM just because of the launcher.
